Reflection on Yoga Lifelong Wellness Application Paper
Experiencing the many movements and poses of yoga helped promote a better sense of self throughout the course. There were new things discovered about one's self as well as the limitations the body must cope with. The smooth transitions between the poses also promoted a better sense of flexibility and relaxation of the body as coping patterns for stress and tension were learned along the way. The movements learned in this course can be used in the future for the sake of a healthy body and mind. Whether it be aches along the body, a sleepless night, or daily stress and tension, the calming effects of yoga can ease them without overexerting the body.
